The fight between cooperate and employees continues over the benefits and risk of remote vs. on-site positions. Today, I will explain what I do and why I think it is ludicrous to be on-site.

Hi, everyone; I am a clinical documentation specialist. If you don’t know who that is, I will tell you. CDS, for short, are medical professionals who review medical records for completeness and accuracy before the account is billed. As a CDS, I do not see patients but verbally and electronically interact with physicians to obtain the information necessary. If you haven’t gotten the picture yet, 100% of my job is done on the computer.

So why am I going to the office to sit at computer all day?

I ask myself this question at least 10 times daily, especially while I am leaving home more than one hour beforehand to go 15 miles!! Trust me, sitting in traffic that long is not healthy physically and mentally. You can read about the health risks we all face and have noticed in ourselves in my article below.
