We have all been through high school, some loved it others didn’t. No matter what anyone says the place that’s hardest to win battles is in High School. Let me tell you why:

First, high-school is the period when we are discovering our self. What we like. What we want in life, we experiment and discover more than the sheltered life, at home thought us. Me change our minds and make new decisions, then change them again. We grow up and learn to be adults by the time we are out.

And second, high school is the bridge between childhood and adulthood. Our minds are not forced into the new dimension of taking on responsibilities, and tailoring your speech and actions. We are forced to learn about sexuality, academics, careers, literature, parenthood, and even fitting into crowds.

All of this we have to learn while trying to control hormones and discovering the new world infront of us. So hear me when I say high school is hard.

There is a way to be deal with the struggles of high school

I know it us hard, we all went through it. Everyone did what they wanted and hoped for the best on graduation day. Is there more you can do to help ease the struggles? Yes there is, and I will show you 4 of my tricks to getting through High school.

1. Do not allow fitting into a crowd get to you

Truth be told after high school we are all equal in the world of adulthood. What tells us apart is how well we adapt and our academic or athletics. The it girls and boys who has everyone else do their homework, well they are no different from the outcast who never tried to do their homework. While, the jocks and cheerleaders with good grades are just like the needs and geeks who are always in the library. But if you are average, do your work and stay out of trouble by adapting you can be better equipped for adult life. Your secret weapon you can adapt and overcome.

Do not give in to peer pressure, standing out as a good person is the best to overcome anxiety.

2. Beauty is not timeless

Every girl wants to be called “pretty”, just like every boy wants to be called “hot”. That does not happen in high school, there must be some ugly ducklings to boss around. As one who was part of the ugly duckling pack, I could focus more on my academic and ignore the troubles of boyfriends and girls fights.

What you must know is, acting like this makes us no different from the animals in the wild. See in the wild the animals know who is incharge and the hierarchy of things. So when there is bullying or shaming that makes anyone feel less than human you are no different from the animals in the wild.

How to fix this? Well, first is to understand that one day we all will need the help of someone else. And once we see others as humans then we can treat other as humans. If you bully someone or call them names to shame them you are no better than a coward, and you have just shamed yourself. Girls share your beauty secrets, help girls loose some weight and get healthy and fit. Doing good has no reprocussions.

3. Your body is not a disadvantage, love yourself

Body dysmorphic disorder is a psychiatric disorder where someone wants to change their body to fit something else. It is to me the most common psychiatric disorder amount teenage girls in the global. Many times it is undiagnosed and secondary to other serious problems like abuse, drugs, suicide or even pregnancy.

Love the skin you are in, your body is yours and an advantage to only you. We all want to be pretty and we all are! Acne scars will fade, butts and boots will sag (unless you get lifts done), the weight will come off or go on, and someday your old school mates will see you and say wow. But that depends on you. If you aren’t thick enough or thin enough then get fit! Hit the gym two days a week, out in the work and ove the fact you are getting healthy.

Do not change yourself for anyone else. It’s not worth it.

4. Remember high school is to help you grow academically

This is how you make a difference; start by maintaining a good grade point average and nailing the athletics or other extra curriculum. When you leave high school this will be the only thing that matters in order to get a job so you can continue living life.

Pay special attention to the subjects that are vital to the career you want. And if you aren’t sure what exactly you want to do, then get the basics in order and do your very best. Do not allow gaps that will put you at an disadvantage for the job you want. This is the most important part of high school.

What must you pay attention to and how to get through High school

I know high school is hard, but it’s only hard because you need guidance on some things while you discover who you are. So let’s recap 4 big things you should know to get through High school.

1. It’s okay not fitting into a crowd

2. Beauty is not timeless, so don’t worry about the few pimples or your hair, it’s just taking a little longer to arrive

3. Your body is not a disadvantage, it is your biggest advantage

4. High school is another place for academics, do keep your grades up

Keep these things in mind while you discover yourself.
